How is everyone? As I said in my letters, Christmas here was great. Thanks again for everything and everyone. BTW I did get the pants, along with the bread and party stuff. Haha thank you for the Spongebob Hats, they will be put to good use tonight for New Years Eve. My companion got some sparkling Cider so we are going to have some fun when we get back to the dorms tonight.
Our maiestra, Hermana Manley, graduated on the 18th, so now we have another teacher who we have known for a while. His name is Hermano Taggart, (aka Tigre) and he's awesome. He has taught us a lot in the short two weeks we've been with him.
I will be out of the MTC all too soon. I'm loving it here and it's crazy but we're looking for our flight plans in the mail. My companion thinks we'll leave on the 12th but I'm hoping for the 19th. There is so much still to learn and I feel like I'll never grasp it all but I feel confident that I can do it. The language is still a barrier. I'm doing well in learning it, I know the tenses and the uses, and when I get to talking Spanish, I think in Spanish. But there is so much vocabulary still to learn and so many irregular verb tenses to memorize. I've spoken with a few spanish natives and they just blow your mind away when you thought you had it perfect! haha.
I really appreciate all of you. I want you to know that yes it's hard. Yes we have our days when things go crazy and you have no idea what you've gotten yourself into. But at the end of the day, I have never felt so satisfied with the work as I have here. I love this work, and this gospel. There are so many people that need this, in fact that encompases the vast majority in the world. On tuesday we heard from Elder Packer. That is, Elder Allan F. Packer. He's the son of Elder Packer from the quorum of the twelve and he is in the Seventy. He said, "Satan has had his day. Now it's our time to stop him in his tracks."
I loved that quote. Well I hope everything is good. Hope that everyone enjoyed the holidays. I heard something vaguely mentioned about some attempted terrorist attack on Christmas?? Crazy.
