Feliz Navidad!
This is probably the only thing you'll get from me before Christmas is over so Merry Christmas! I hope everyone is doing well and that everything goes great for Christmas. Much love to all the family, thank you all for your cards, your care and everything you do. Mis amigos/amigas, I love you all and hope your Christmases go great.
I'm loving it here, today is my P-Day so everything is going great, we're expecting another Apostle for the Fireside tonight. Elder Anderson came on tuesday for our devotional and it was amazing. He's an amazing speaker and he talked about the opportunity we have to really celebrate Christmas without all the commercialism that you all get to deal with. He is a great man and it was nice to get to know one of the Quorom of the Twelve members that I didn't know very well before. Turns out my foot is really a blessing in disguise, we got front row seats so I could keep my foot elevated! His grandkids got up and did a Christmas Medley and it was really cute.
The Spirit of Christ is really powerfully here at this time of year and it is really inspiring. We've seen many people changed for the better and the past week has been a great growing experience. There are all kinds of little miracles that are going on and the Hand of God is evident everywhere.
Sorry to those of you that I didn't write this last week. We don't get a whole lot of time to do the writing usually, but since tomorrow for Christmas I'll have time as well as today, I should have time to write plenty of you. Last week was a little weird and I was trying to fit in all the letters between visits to the MTC Clinic and the Podiatrist for a Post-Op. So again, sorry.
Family, thanks for the packages and presents, they are much appreciated. I feel like a 1st Phaser sending out my Wants and Needs every week. BTW I think one of my roommates, Elder Sanderson, who is now in Asuncion, Paraguay, accidentally stole my jeans. So now I'm pant-less for my P-Days. I say accidentally stole because there's no way he could fit in those anyway. So I could really use some new jeans. If there are any of my Bulkheads (or Bullhead... something with a B insignia on the back) from PacSun left that aren't torn or something (size 32x34) they would be much appreciated. Wearing sweats everywhere is... slightly frowned upon. But it's currently my only option besides shorts. Considering the snow I see piled outside my window, I opt sweats. Again thank you for putting up with my seemingly endless demands. I love you all! :)
I know that God loves us all individually, and no where have I seen His love in so much abundance as here in the Mission, at the MTC. I know that Christ lives. I know that He was raised a carpenter's son, when He was rightfully a king. He suffered for the lowliest sinners when He alone was perfect and without need for a Mediator. I know that He chose to die on the cross so that we might find life eternal. I also know that the day soon will come when He will come to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. I know that here and in the field I represent Him. I take upon myself His name. I know that this work is the work He did, and I am honored to continue it. I know He loves us and watches us every moment.
I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas, a Feliz Navidad. I hope that we all can take some time to forget the commercialism of Christmas, we all take an hour, twenty minutes or even 5 minutes, to think about what we really should be celebrating. Because if He had forgotten us like we often forget Him, where would we be?
Con toda la amor en me corazon,
Elder Jordan Green (El Verde)
