Wednesday, November 17

Hola!

Chicago is windy and cold as always but so far there is no snow. When it gets snowy we get bus passes. I'm not too excited for that day but I'm sure my companion is.

The past week has been really great. When I was given the opportunity and assignment to be District Leader/Trainer I was first really flattered and excited, and quickly realized how much responsibility had just fallen on my head and kind of got really stressed out really fast. But in overcoming that and facing up to President's expectations for me I have come to wear the mantel well I believe. I've seen myself grow exponentially in the past week. It has been a real blessing from our Father in Heaven and I have come to realize that He knows exactly what we need exactly when we need it. His timing is perfect. I have bettered myself in countless ways this week.

We have seen a lot of little miracles in the past week as we've seen some people accepting the gospel more openly and readily than ever before. The husband of our Recent Convert Flor is now willing to listen to us and is starting to accept the gospel into his life.

Also, the sons of Hno. Barrientos are interested in learning more and becoming more involved in their own spiritual progress.

An active family, the familia Pajarez, has two children who are getting ready to serve missions. We've been really excited to see the oldest, Jenny (20) get ready to serve her own mission and help her little brother Pedro get excited about serving his.

We are going today to go bowling with all of my past companions (except elder Cuentas), and I'm really excited for that reunion. Plus this saturday my zone is going to be at the Chicago Lights Festival Parade done by disney, contacting people. If it's broadcasted over there in utah you should look out for some familiar faces or at least some missionaries.

I've got to go now. I love you guys very much.

Con Amor,

Elder Green
