11/3/2010 - Hey

Hey guys this is Elder Green,

How's it going back at home? So I'm not talking to anyone today due to the fact that we're going to go bowling really soon so I only have like 30 min. I'll give you last week's highlights.

We helped a member work on the side of his house with giant bags of concrete and had a lot of stuff going on there. We were at his house forever trying to get it all done.

Then we have had our investigator Benny who is going really smoothly. We were worried yesterday because he was to go to court because of a parole violation and he would've gone back to prison for 7 years but due to many prayers and some fasting everything went fine. We're really excited for him and he should be coming to church this coming sunday. Keep him in your prayers he could use all the help he can get.

I am fine, and things are good. I'm in the middle of a billion letters and they should be finding their owners soon. How are Rylee and Bryce? I'm anxious to hear from them. They seem to have a bunch of stuff going on lately. Can you imagine, I am almost at my year mark! Holy cow, then I start counting down days in stead of counting up! It's crazy. I am also having transfers next week so we'll see how that goes. There are a ton of new missionaries coming in but there are only 2 new spanish Elders. I'm hoping to train one of them. If I do, then I will be following exactly in Elder Witham's footsteps and be training right before my year mark. That would be really exciting. Me and Elder Carroll both think that change is on the wind for our companionship, so we'll see how that goes down. Cross your fingers.

My spanish is getting really good. Apparently I still sound a little like a whitey so there's the new challenge. The stake president here has spanish that is incredible. If you closed your eyes you would think he was from ecuador or something like that. Then again, he has a few more years of practice than me.

Other than that, things are going just fine. I'm going to head out now so that I can have plenty of time to get down there. If we get there before 2:00 we can get a $7 sandwich and a free game of bowling.

I love you all,

Elder J.
