Good afternoon everyone!
It's Elder Green, and I've got news from my mission. I'm a District Leader/Trainer now in my area of Rogers Park. I'm really excited to get the chance to take on the responsibility and become a senior companion among the other things. It was funny, as President explained to me my new position, I just thought well that's cool. And then it kind of sunk in on me that it all brings on responsibility. My new companion is Elder Aguila and what's cool about him is he already speaks spanish! That makes my life easy, I just have to show him the ropes on the whole being a missionary thing. I figure that's the easy part. Language is hard.
So to answer Dad's question, yes it is still a bike area. I don't get to receive a car until I leave the city or I become a Wilmette Zone Leader. They really only get cars because of how much area they have to cover sometimes and cause they have to respond quicker to situations over a larger area.
If this letter makes no sense, I'm sorry. I literally am falling asleep as I type this. Like my body is demanding a rest.
So what's been going on in my area? We have a baptism coming up this saturday for Angel Ramirez. It was supposed to be last saturday but things didn't go according to plan so now it's this one. That's okay though because Elder Carroll is close enough that he will be able to come back to see his baptism. We also are working with a guy named Benny and another guy named Javier, both of which are close to baptism.
Anyway, sorry I have to go now.
Con Amor,
Elder J.
