Hello!

Hey guys it's me!

I'm just sitting here at the Apple Store on the North/Clybourn stop writing an e-mail to you folks. How's things?

Man, this week things have started moving! We have 2 more investigators on date. Their names are Julio and Cesar. They are brothers whose mom was a very active member of the church in guatemala, but who until recently fell out of activity. As of the past two weeks she has been returning to church and has been very excited. Julio is 13 and his brother Cesar is 14. We read with them out of 3 Nefi 11, wherein it says that if we are baptized we will inherit the kingdom of God. It goes on to say that if we are not, we will be damned. Cesar read that aloud, and I asked him what it meant. He said, "I need to be baptized. If I don't I go to Hell." So the two of them are going to be baptized on March 5th. That was a really exciting day. On sunday, we had 5 investigators at Church, which is awesome! We established recently in our mission what are called "Standards of Excellence." They are standards that we want every missionary companionship to live up to. One of those standards is to have 3 investigators at church weekly, so we surpassed it! We also will be living up to another Standard if the baptism for Oscar goes through on the 26th of this month. It should be really great. We also have been working on some other people and should be seeing some other baptisms really soon.

Well so the bad news is that I've had my pants repaired a few times and unfortunately most of the tears cannot be repaired. The tear again in a matter of a couple days. So I need to buy a suit. I got one today from a member which fits me really well, but I don't have an un-torn suit other than this one.

This week is really cool, we have 3 lessons lined up for tonight and we are really excited to be able to be working with so many people right now.

So things are great, I'm really excited that the work is now progressing at a more inclined pace. We're being very blessed right now for our obedience and diligence. God has always poured out His tender mercies very abundantly over us and we are very glad to be missionaries here.

Unfortunately we need to be working a lot and as a result, we have an appointment scheduled for the middle of our Preparation Day today, so we have to be there at 4:30. I need to get a few things done downtown, so I need to run.

I love you all very much.

Thank you all for your sacrifices and prayers.

Con Amor,

Elder J.
