How's it going this week?
We've had a really grrreat week this week. It's been a lot of fun and we've seen quite a bit go on. I got to go to a leadership training meeting on friday and so I was in Naperville while my companion stayed here in rogers park to work with some of the other missionaries in our district. That meeting was really cool, I got to go up in front of everyone and do a role play about inviting an investigator to come to church. It was pretty awesome. We also had a really great first lesson with a referral we got from the Sisters. He's gone to church before, but he wasn't really prepared at that point to receive the gospel. Now, however, a lot has changed in his life and he was really receptive to everything that we taught him. His name is Jesus Martinez. We'll be baptizing him the 25 of December. I thought that'd be a cool Christmas.
Also, we're working with an amazing family that I don't know if I've told you about, their names are Selda, Jenny and Pedro Pajarez. They are a family in my ward and Jenny (20) and Pedro (17) are both preparing for their missions. Pedro comes to appointments with us a lot, and his sister is getting everything together so that she can head out in July when she turns 21.
We've also got some investigators who are coming along well named Armando and Mareli who are the husband and sister of Flor Ramirez. They both have received the first lesson and come to church, which was really great. We've been really hoping to see some progress and they have gradually become more and more open. That's been a small miracle for the two of us.
Well hey I've got to go now. I love you all.
