Crazy Week in Chicago!

Where do I begin?

This week has been so incredibly crazy I'm at a loss for words.

I'll start at the beginning that you don't know about. After e-mails last week we went and shopped a little bit on the Mag (which we are doing again today, i'll explain why later). We then went and hooked up with the Sister missionaries that are here with us, Hermana Perez and Hermana Secrest. Secrest goes home at the end of the transfer and I'm really gonna miss her, she's a really great addition to this district. We went with them to go to the Shedd Aquarium. Oh and I forgot an important fact, on the Mag, I bought some running shoes and socks from NikeTown, and I had my French books with me that I was carrying all around town. Well in the Shedd Aquarium they have lockers wherein you can place your valuables. So we went into the aquarium and it was a lot of fun. It has a ton of really awesome exhibits and you can go pet some of the animals and stuff. It was really cool, but I won't do it again on my mission. It was expensive and there are some things included that as missionaries we don't have time (or just plain can't because of rules) to do. There is a 4D showing of Happy Feet and there is a show that you can go see like in Sea World. So we get done doing that, the 4 of us, and then start going to the subway. One problem. As we are walking down Congress Ave, Hermana Perez says, "Elder Green, where are your shoes?" I thought, duh they're on my feet. And then it dawned on me. I had just left my new Nikes at an aquarium. So I had to run the mile back to the aquarium before it closed. As a result we were late for the appointment that we had that night, and got home really late.

Well so we have been having some appointments with some of our investigators, and now Flor is not the only one in her family that is interested in us, her sister who swore that the Mormons were crazy and would never want anything to do with us is now accepting the lessons as well. We are all really excited to be having the baptism this saturday and next saturday.

So monday we were going to the District Meeting, when I got doored by a car. I was cruising along and he opened his door and I got knocked into the middle of the road. It was really cool. Well I went to the doctor and I'm fine, but my pants aren't. I had to go to the doctor, even though I didn't need it. A really cool testimony about garments: All of my joints and extremities are sore, but as soon as it gets to where my garments cover the body, everything is fine. Literally not a scratch. There is no physical reason why it should be that way, in fact my garments should be shredded, but they're fine. It was really cool to me.

So after one night's sleep, I was back to functioning at 100%.

So today should be fun, we're not really sure what more we're going to do, but we'll find out something. Maybe we'll go to the Field Museum or something cool like that.

Anywho it's about time for me to head out, so I will talk to you later.

I love you all very much, have a great week.

Con Amor,

Elder J.
