Hey everyone, I hope that everything is going well.
I'm now getting really used to downtown and getting to really enjoy my time here. It is a little slower here right now than it was in Bloomingdale, but what investigators we do have, are progressing really rapidly. We now have two investigators on date and another one may be coming along to that point soon too. One of our investigators is named Imelda. She is a really great lady, who we as yet have not had a single lesson with. She was a dropped investigator of some of the Elders in the past, and we have been passing by a lot of those since that's about the only place to start with investigators here. So we passed by her house last week. She informed us that she had received all of the lessons from missionaries in the past and now she wanted to be baptized. She gave us a call yesterday and come to find out she has decided to be baptized the 31 of July at 6:00 pm. We are really excited for her. She already has a lot of support as well because she has three children that are members of the church. Her daughter is very active in our ward, her son is a returned missionary in Florida who is very active, and her other son is the Branch President of the Woodstock Sp Branch. So they are a really great family, the only ones who have failed to be baptized are her and her husband. We are going to go back and review all of the lessons before her baptism and then we are going to start teaching her husband again to see what he feels about all of this. We also are very excited to be working with 4 new investigators so far and to be working with a lot of very interested people, including less-actives and getting to know the active members.
So everything is going really great, I don't know what else I can say. We have had a lot of changes now that we are a combined mission. Now we will only have interviews with President, as well as Zone Conferences, once a quarter. That's kinda lame, but oh well.
I'm currently writing you all from the Apple Store in the Magnificent Mile because we finally found time to come downtown. We are shopping in the Mag and we are going to go to the Willis (Sears) Tower and then the Shedd Aquarium. I will send lots of pictures. I bought me a couple of French review books so that I can catch up on my French now that I feel fluent in my spanish. I'm excited to get to do that because my French has really suffered. I'm also going to see if I can get a few things for everyone.
RYLEE HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! What's going on in your life? I Never here about you! How was NYC and everything? How is Surf 'n' Swim? I feel like my little sister has dropped off the map. I am going to send a Birthday present. (to her and Mom and Bryce, and one for Dad just because I can)
Well I'm not really sure what to tell you more. Life is great, I'm enjoying myself and everything in the area is looking up. Look in the mail for real letters this week, and I'll talk to you all more then.
Con Mucho Amor,
Elder Jordan Green
