Hey all of you!
Well this week has been great. We had a Zone Council which was just the Zone Leaders and the District Leaders and companions. We talked extensively about what this mission has been lacking. We talked about the last year and how we had 413 baptisms as a whole in 2010. Thats pretty cool huh? That's more than 1 baptism a day! We were happy with the baptisms that did happen, but we also considered the margin of improvement that we have that we could do. So we're taking a new route as a mission. We want to see 1 baptism per companionship per month. That's a really cool goal to me, because that means that we would be more than doubling our baptisms from last year and we would be improving our efficiency as missionaries. We then talked about the many things that we will need to do to bring that goal to pass. In my district meeting this monday, I focused a lot on this new route we're taking. I believe that my district is really animated to begin trying this. We would like to see that happen in this ward. That would mean at least 36 new members in this ward by the end of the year... How cool would that be?!
We've been tracting more and getting down to basics with our area because our current teaching pool seems to have dried up a little bit. The people we've been teaching have not been progressing much nor have we seen much in the way of appointments with them. However, there is a constant influx of new blood and new potential, so we're excited to see who progresses and makes those important commitments.
We are going today to have an appointment with one of our most solid investigators, Javier. We're praying that he starts coming to church so that he can be baptised.
Also, we have another appointment with the Familia Pajares, and that should be fun, as always. But before that we are going to play some sports as a District at the Chapel.
And that's where I'm headed right now. Well first we're hitting up Wendy's and then we'll be there. So I gotta go. Things to do!
Much love Everyone,
Elder Green.
