Good morning everyone! How's it going?
This last week was really awesome. We unfortunately had to drop one investigator who had a baptismal date, Linda. We really want her to progress but she isn't motivated to act. She feels the need to be baptized and follow the commandments, but doesn't act for herself. She told us she would come to church several times, and failed to each time. We decided it would be best for her to realize how important this is and pick her back up later on. However, the Lord knew that we needed people with baptismal dates who were firm, and provided us with another. Her name is Teresa. She is a great lady who has a lot of potential. We were knocking a street and had just gotten done, but didn't really know where to knock next, when we saw a lady with a heavy shopping cart trying to get into her house which we had knocked just beforehand. We helped her put it inside and she asked us to come in. We taught her the first lesson and gave her a baptismal date. Elder Lemke had an appointment with her on monday while we were on exchanges and he said that she is even more sincere and more interested than the last time. We're really excited to see what happens with her. There is a family in our ward whose daughter is not a member of the church, but it's not for lack of a testimony, she has a very strong one, the problem has been her husband. Well we found out this week that her husband is moving out today and they are getting a divorce. That's obviously not ideal, but he has caused a lot of problems and it is really the only way that she will be baptized. So while our hearts go out to her in her difficult process, we are very excited for the fact that she will finally be able to do what she has so long desired and be baptized. Her name is Elizabeth.
Other than them, we have had tons of great things go on. Again, we found 13 new investigators and we had 15 other lessons. It was an incredible week. We have 4 investigators who should be baptized within the next month or so.
I love you all very much!
Keep in touch!
