Hey family!
This is Elder Green writing an e-mail to let you all know how things are. I talked to you on sunday, which was a lot of fun. Skype makes things interesting. Although I will admit, it is a bit harder to focus again after having seen you guys for the first time in 18 months. I hestitated to Skype at all, knowing that it would kinda throw me for a loop, but I decided it was worth it. I really enjoyed seeing you guys again. I've gotta say, it was weird seeing how different everything is. Everyone looks older and skinny and happy, it's a good thing to see. I can tell that God has blessed our family while I've been out here. He has lived up to His end of the bargain, and we each must live up to ours. That is to say, we should do the things that we are commanded to. For me, I love to read King Benjamin's discourse in Mosiah because it carries so much weight and helps to put everything in perspective. I currently am reading in Alma, today I finshed chapter 14. I like that area of alma because he is doing less-active work in various regions in the nephite nation. He calls them to repentance really well and encourages those who are doing what is right. I think there are many things each of us can learn in those areas.
So as far as the work goes, we are going to be baptizing Jesus in the beginning of June, which should be really cool. We also are working with a few investigators who are coming close to baptismal dates. We have some good referrals and a good amount of work to do here. The ward is great, we just need to help to animate them to get referrals.
Oh, my son, Elder Aguila is now serving in the same ward as me again. He is in a trio with Elder Torres and Elder Mortenson and they are the other people that cover half of the ward. So that's weird.
Well hey I gotta run now. Sorry to split so quick. I love you guys a ton and miss you!
Love,
Elder J.
