Week ending Aug 25

Dear Everyone,

This week has been a great learning oportunity to me. I have really enjoyed the many blessings that the Lord has poured out upon us as missionaries and upon this ward.

The first exciting news that we have is the baptism of Flor Ramirez. Flor is a great woman who has seen a real change in her life since she has started to follow the commandments. She expressed to us how she has noticed that since she started attending Sacrament Meeting and tried to put her life in line with the Gospel, she has seen the Savior's Hand in everything that happens to her. She explained that she had been having fewer and fewer disputes with her husband; where before there was a lot of tension and argument, it had been replaced by a feeling of peace and contentment. She accounted to us that the income that they have made has in no way changed, yet for some inexplicable reason she sees the same amount of money stretch to more things and greater opportunity. She has witnessed a change within her character and within her heart. That is the power and beauty of the Gospel, grace, and mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ. I have gotten to be a guide to her and a few others on my mission, and have watched them choose to make these decisions and seen how it affects them for the better.

Another amazing experience was to get a call from an old investigator by the name of Maria Carmona. She was also baptized this past saturday and has also seen many many changes in her own life. She reconciled some problems that she thought were irreconcilable and has done amazingly in becoming very close to Christ. She explained that, "this depression that I have felt for so long seems to gradually be dissipating as I do what the missionaries and the Church ask me to".

We also had 6 guys contact us on different occasions throughout the week. All six were american men, which is interesting because neither americans nor men of any race seem to be interested in hearing what we have to say. However, all of them had open hearts and were willing to actually listen in stead of Bible Bash. So this week more than ever I have learned that we cannot gauge who will be interested in what we have to say and who will accept the Gospel, we just have to teach "to every creature".

The Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ is real. It helps us each to grow and to enter into the kingdom of God. My challenge to everyone would be to pray throughout this week and search for one person (or more) that God will put in your path to bring closer to the Gospel. It Will Happen. God has promised it. As his servant I promise the same in His Name. Any church can bring them to the Terrestrial Kindom, but ours alone has the sealing power and priesthood to bring them to live once more with our Father in Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ. "For narrow is the gate and straight the path which leads to eternal life".

I love you all. God loves you all more.

Till next week,

Elder Jordan Green.
